IEA’s Atkinson calls OPEC, Russia output freeze meaningless

Neil Atkinson, head of the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) Oil Industry and Markets Division, called an output freeze accord between OPEC and Russia meaningless.

Atkinson had warned in January that oil markets could be drowned in excess supply, but now feels the worst for oil prices is over.
